Other Chinese firms in the top 100 were China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, and China Shenhua Energy Company.

The five Taiwanese firms listed among the top 500 were: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Hon Hai Precision Industry, Formosa Petrochemical, Chunghwa Telecom Company and Formosa Plastics. Hon Hai ranked second in the world in terms of employees — with 961,000 — trailing only Walmart.
