An explosion at a fast food restaurant in Xi'an has caused nine deaths and 37 injuries, according to information provided by the local government as of 2pm, November 14. A liquefied petroleum gas leak at the restaurant, in the city's Gaoxin district, caused the explosion. The explosion shattered windows in nearby buildings, blew away a bus stop sign and destroyed several cars parked in the neighborhood. Three victims left the emergency room after basic treatment; 34 others remained in the hospital.
