A Chinese internet user posted a story on Sina Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter, about the crude response of a Air France flight attendant when their friend who was a passenger complained of having found a fly in their meal, reports Guangzhou Daily.

The netizen, whose Weibo account ID is Hunk1123, has a friend who took an Air France flight from Beijing to Paris on March 25. As they dug into the last bites of their meal, the netizen's friend found some mystery meat, which turned out to be a fly. After their complaint was brushed off by the flight attendant, they asked to speak with the pilot. The pilot, just as candid as the attendant, said that there are many flies in China, and therefore it should be nothing unusual to find a fly in one's meal.

The netizen's friend later received an apology and a coupon worth 1,700 yuan (US$260) from the airline. They still insist that it is the captain who should apologize.
