The five-day Ho-Hai-Yan Gongliao Rock Festival held on the beach at Fulong in northern Taiwan has attracted 150,000 people in its first three days. However, the country's soldiers have reportedly not been allowed to attend the festival due to all the bikini-clad young women around, reports our sister newspaper China Times.

Though, members of the military will reportedly be grounded if they are caught at the festival, some have risked defying the ban. A senior official said some soldiers would take their chance and risk being grounded in order to enjoy the sunny beach, the music and the girls.

The military is apparently worried that the soldiers might lose their discipline in the presence of so many young women or that there might be drowning accidents since the festival is on the beach, the official said.

The popular annual festival features international and homegrown artists. The lineup this year includes Hong Kong's Killer Soap, Singapore's Dirt Radicals, Malaysia's Daydream and Taiwan's Matzka, Mayday and Boxing
